JADE???
Howdy!
My name is Jade Nicoletti and I am an artist,
designer, and creative based out of Orange
County, California. I graduated from Laguna
College of Art and Design in May 2023.

Since then I have been hopping around the
place to better understand different
demographics and industries that I am
interested in. Although I am a designer, I am truly
and artist and creative at heart with goals to be
able to be able to make anything I can think of.
I love camping, backpacking, board sports, sailing,
nature, any medium of art, and traveling. I hope to work
for a company that can help create amazing experiences for people
in the fields that I love.

Education
BFA at Laguna College of Art and Design
2019-2023
My major is Graphic Design + Digital Media with an action sports emphasis. I switched from film photography to digital, honed in on my style of illustration and found a love for pattern work, I started apprenticing under an artist fab shop with focuses on metal and 3D printing along with using laser cutters, plasma cutters, CNC machines, along with finding a love for product and apparel design within action aports.
Dana Hills Highschool
2015-2019
Even though this is a decent amount of time ago, this is where I really started getting into design and production. I started selling stickers and shirts with my designs to fellow students and reaching out to shops. I also started selling my work at events and won awards for my work through my school and community.
Work
I have worked in the service industry for almost 10 years as a Montessori school art teacher, sailing instructor photographer, manager of coffee shops, at restaurants, movie theaters, bagel shops, catering companies, Home Depot, and others. These just specifically pertain to my graphics/arts skills and the outdoor industry.

The night audit position was a choice made that allows me to spend a lot of time at the base of the mountain along with being able to snowboard during the day.
I decided to move out here for the time, to better understand the snowboarding industry and community since I have not spent a lot of time around it. Staying from the winter season through summer allows me to find communities that extend my knowledge in the backcountry and fresh-water fishing scenes as well.

Before I started my job in Mammoth, I worked for a couple weeks on my family's ranch. They needed some help during the weeks that I was available. It is a 130 acre traditional hereford cattle ranch. We feed the horses and cattle in the mornings, make sure their water is filled, and muck the stalls. I specifically worked putting up barbed wire fences, fixing the bumper I knocked off the work truck. We also spent a lot of time on the tractor trying to muck out stalls and large areas and getting ready for hay delivery.

I met an artist through an art festival called the Sawdust Festival in Laguna Beach. I ended up setting up a large number of 3D printers for him and helping him with software and files. I then started operating a plasma cutter, helping him with his laser cutters, learning to solder, braze, weld (a little MIG), grind, and assisted with blacksmithing and casting with pewter. I started helping because the next phase of medium I wanted to learn was metal but it gave me a love of fabrication and machinery in general.
